Grant High School – Symphonic Band

Symphonic Band is a preparatory concert ensemble for Wind Ensemble consistingprimarily of 9th and 10th graders. The ensemble contains members of various ability levels, butprevious band experience or director's approval is required. Students in the Symphonic Band willplay a wide variety of literature while continuing to grow in theiraural abilities regarding blend andbalance, intonation, rhythmic accuracy, and the production of good tone. They will perform in atleast three concerts, one parade, and at various pep band events throughout the year. Students inthis ensemble will also perform as part of the pep band.
