Grant High School – Audio Engineer Practicum

Have you excelled in Audio Engineering? Do you want to work on an individualaudio project? Put your skills into practice for a full year or semester long project! Examples mightinclude but are not limited to: producing a series of podcasts, heading the audio crew for a majorGrant production, recording a full length album of original music, building a vintage tube guitaramplifier, doing a school wide audiology test, producing a mixed tape, interning for a local recordingstudio, etc. Students will have the freedom to develop a project that speaks to their interests andchallenges their skill sets. By the third week of the class, students will present a plan for anaudio-based project to be implemented and carried out under the supervision and guidance of theteacher and a project mentor.
Prerequisites: Beginning Audio, Advanced Audio, and Studio Sessions, or by teacher approval
