Sculpture 1 is an introductory course focused on the creation of three-dimensional artwork using a variety of media and techniques. Students will explore the fundamentals of 3D art and will create a variety of sculptures using materials such as paper, wire, plaster, foam, and more. The course covers the elements of art and principles of design while encouraging creativity and experimentation. Students should be prepared to work with various materials and textures in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
