Explore the Aquatics 1 Lifeguard Training curriculum designed to help students master key concepts and essential skills.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: 15 years of age by the end of the course. This course consists of four major components: Basic Water Rescue, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Standard First Aid, and Lifeguard Training. Upon certification students will possess the skills and qualifications necessary to apply for lifeguard occupations. This course also serves as a pathway to a career in Health Services. Students who pass written tests with 80% mastery and successfully pass all water-skill tests involving swimming speed, leg strength, and lifesaving techniques, will receive American Red Cross Certificates in Lifeguard Training, CPR-PR, and First Aid.
