Golden Gate High School – Vocal Techniques 1

in this entry-level class focus on the development of musical and technical skills on a specific voice through etudes, scales, and selected music literature. Through problem-solving, critical thinking, and reflection, students develop physical and cognitive skills to be more disciplined performers. Graded public performances may serve as a culmination of specific instructional goals. Students may be required to attend and/or participate in rehearsals and performances outside the school day to support, extend, and assess learning in the classroom which leads to a grade. Suggested grading guidelines can be found in the Collier County Public Schools Secondary Grading Manual. This course will meet the graduation requirement for Performing Fine Arts graduation credit.
