Golden Gate High School – Recreational Activities

of this course is to enable students to develop knowledge and skills in recreational activities and maintain or improve health-related fitness. The content should include, but not be limited to the following: safety practices, rules, terminology, sportsmanship, etiquette, history of recreational activities, correct techniques in performing skills, strategies, officiating, organizing and administration of recreational activities, consumer issues, benefits of participation, fitness activities, assessment of skills and fitness assessments. Activities may include, but are not limited to fishing, biking, backyard games, skating, folk, social, and square dance.
