Golden Gate High School – Latin 1

Latin 1 introduces students to the target language and its culture. The student will develop a thorough understanding of the written language as well as of the influence the language and culture have had on other World Languages, cultures, governments, arts, and laws. Emphasis is placed on proficient understanding in the reading of the language. An introduction to writing is also included as well as culture, connections, comparisons, and communities.
