Golden Gate High School – CHORUS 2 This year-long, beginning-level class, designed for students with one year of experience or less in a choral performing group, promotes the enjoyment and appreciation of music through the performance of basic, high-quality choral music.

Students may be required to attend/ participate in rehearsals and performances outside the school day to support, extend and assess learning in the classroom, which leads to a grade. Rehearsals focus on the development of critical listening/aural skills; foundational instrumental technique and skills, music literacy, and ensemble skills; and aesthetic musical awareness culminating in periodic public performances which lead to a grade. This course may require students to participate in extra rehearsals and performances beyond the school day which also lead to a grade. Suggested grading guidelines can be found in the Collier County Public Schools Secondary Grading Manual. This course will meet the graduation requirement for Performing Fine Arts graduation credit.
Prerequisites: Chorus 1 | C or better in Chorus 1 orcompletion ne to hree yars middle school chorus andTeacher recommendation/audition
