Students may be required to attend/ participate in rehearsals and performances outside the school day to support, extend and assess learning in the classroom, which leads to a grade. This year-long, intermediate-level course, designed for students who demonstrate proficiency in woodwind, brass and/or percussion techniques, music literacy, critical listening/aural skills, and ensemble performance skills, promotes greater engagement with and appreciation for music through performance and other experiences with a broad spectrum of music, as well as creativity through composition and/or arranging.
