Grade 7This course is comprised of units designed to address earth science ideas from the Maryland Science Standards.There are six earth science topics in middle school addressed through six units: Space Systems, History of Earth, Earth’s Interior Systems, Earth’s Surface Systems, Weather and Climate, and Human Impacts. Units are organized around a driving question. Within each driving question, students engage in a series of hands-on learning experiences that are carefully designed to immerse them in a collaborative learning environment. Students utilize the science and engineering practices as they construct their understanding of important concepts.
