This course is broken into three units: advanced construction, sound systems and lighting design. Students will gain basic knowledge of live sound reinforcement, including the microphone, amplifiers, speakers, signal path, and the sound mixer, through hands on experience with sound equipment. The unit on lighting teaches the students about theatre lighting instruments, including how to hang and focus the fixture, color and lighting composition, basic electricity, and light board operation. Requirement – Technical Theatre I
