Gateway Education Center – Library Media Services

A program providing a welcoming learning environment where students are empowered as readers, writers, creators, and innovators. Focuses on literacy, a love of reading, and ensuring equitable access to print and digital resources. Curriculum includes literacy, digital citizenship, project-based learning, inquiry problems, and evaluation of resources. Activities include sharing books, communicating using each student's specific communication system, hands-on activities, book check-outs, and activities supporting a school-wide maker mentality. Instruction is provided Monday through Friday. Classes are 30 minutes for pre-K students and 45 minutes for school-age students.
