Garfield High School – Introduction to Business

Introduction to Business offers students the fundamental understanding of the creation and operation of business organizations in the for profit and nonprofit sector. Students will explore strategies in creating, financing, marketing, and managing a business. They will be involved in hands on and project-based activities to develop their understanding in; basic accounting; budgeting; financial markets; building profitable customer connections; understanding the marketing mix- product, promotion, price, place; motivation and leadership; managing information and technology. There is also the student store where students gain practical experience and acts as a lab for the course.
