Galena High School – Marching/Wind Ensemble

This course is designed to encompass all facets of today’s accepted standards of Marching Band and Wind Ensemble. It will focus on the development of musical technique, sight- reading, and ensemble performance. Many co-curricular activities make up a band program. The responsibilities of the Marching Band may include performing as a pep band at football games, as well as performing for various school and civic performances such as pep rallies, assemblies, and parades. Students may be required to attend all practices and performances outside of the regular school day to receive credit for the class. Performances will take place throughout the entire school year.
