Learning another language helps students gain a better understanding of the structure and grammar of English. Much of the instruction in this course is in the language of study. Daily study and preparation at home are required for success in a world language. 2 Semesters / 1.0 CTE and/or World Language Credit – Grade 11, 12 Prerequisite American Sign Language II Students will expand on their language skills learned in American Sign Language II. Students will continue to learn vocabulary ad grammar rules and improve their expressive and receptive skills. This class is presentation based and taught in the target language. Students will explore ASL related careers. Deaf culture will be explored in greater depth. Students should expect to use ASL for most class communications. Daily study and preparation at home are required for success in a world language; students can expect a minimum of $%$ hour of homework per day.
