This course is an introduction to the language of medicine through usage, pronunciation, spelling, and plural formation as they relate to body systems. Emphasis is on the study of word roots, prefixes, suffixes, eponyms, standard abbreviations, and medical case studies. The use of medical terms in context and terminology related to cancer medicine, nuclear medicine, and pharmacology.
