This course prepares students to apply academic, technical knowledge and skills to a variety of settings within the firefighting response. This course is designed with lessons in fire behavior, safety, building construction, fire department equipment and tools. A partnership with Prince George’s County Fire Department will provide practical hands-on experiences to prepare students for certifications (CPR, HAZMAT, and Incident Management Command Systems),required to proceed to Fire Fighter II.
