These classes are offered to provide intervention in the student's identified deficit area on her/his instructional level. Teachers will provide instruction using research-based strategies while utilizing a combination of small group and computer-based instruction.

These labs provide opportunity for remediation, academic assistance, and small group instruction. Teachers offer guidance in self advocacy, complete career and academic assessments, teach study skills, time management, work study habits, career exploration, and increase student time on computer based remediation programs.

Designed to equip students with the knowledge concerning their legal rights of individuals with a disability and how to advocate for themselves in their school and community setting.

Designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to transition into postsecondary community involvement and independent living. Students will refine their self-awareness through a discovery process and then learn about relevant community support and how to access them.

Designed to provide opportunities for students to finalize postsecondary transition plans and develop concrete steps necessary to transition seamlessly into postsecondary, including being an active participant in developing a summary of performance.

Intended as a capstone course aligned to student's focus area of study and/or postsecondary employment goal. Participants will understand the basics of Career Knowledge and Navigation Skills (CKNS), 21st Century Learning and Innovation Skills, and Personal and Skills (PSS) modules.

Part of a program for students with severe disabilities who will obtain a special education diploma and who will be assessed using the Alternate Assessment.

Designed to teach communication skills necessary in the areas of personal life, family life, community, and the workplace. Includes decision making, problem solving, workplace readiness skills, and the practice of self-advocacy skills.

Teaches how to identify personal interest activities that can be used to develop an individual recreation and leisure program. Students learn about hobbies, clubs, and organizations that assist persons with disabilities.

Explores basic reading, grammar, and organizational skills necessary for daily living, employment, and personal communication. Includes preparation for the Reading, Writing and Elements of Language portion of the Alternate Assessment.

Teaches understanding of numbers and operations, algebra, geometry measurement, and data analysis. Activities include money math, telling time, units of measurement, and calendar skills.

Skills taught include cooking, laundry, housekeeping, meal planning, nutrition, health, and hygiene. Focuses on Life Science issues such as recycling, environmental pollution, and ecology.
