EXCEL Academy – Beginning Chorus I-II

Introduction to choral performance and includes performance on limited basis. Basic skills for proper vocal production stressed and expanded upon. Fundamental music theory principles reviewed and expanded. Music history studied with emphasis on particular style and period of pieces being sung. Performance literature equal to level 1 appropriate. Due to performance nature, students must attend all rehearsals and performances during and/or outside school day.
Prerequisites: Approval of Choral Director required. An audition may be required
