EXCEL Academy – Advanced Placement Studio Art: 3-D

Intended for highly motivated art student who plans on pursuing career in visual arts and provides opportunity for advanced preparation for college. Coursework utilizes interdisciplinary approach linking classical styles and techniques to contemporary and future media. Great deal of work outside of class time required for development of high-quality portfolio as well as required museum visits. Summer drawing assignments and development of sketchbook expected. Combination of media including ceramic, paper, wire, stone, wood, and mixed media used to create three dimensional artwork in portfolio.
