The purpose of this course is to develop the physical skills necessary to be competent in many forms of movement as it relates to power weight training. The integration of health and fitness concepts, correct performance techniques, muscular strength and endurance, anatomy of muscles, rules, history and terminology of musculoskeletal system and exercises, more complex exercises, techniques and equipment, personal fitness assessment, nutrition, consumer issues, injury prevention and safety, and the benefits of participation; including designing, implementing and evaluating a weight training program. The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop knowledge and skills specified in individual and dual sports and to maintain health related fitness. The content should include, but not be limited to the following: safety practices, rules, terminology, etiquette, history of the sports, sportsmanship, correct techniques in performing skills, consumer issues, benefits of participation, fitness activities, assessment of skills, and fitness assessments. The sports offered may include but not be limited to tennis, table tennis, badminton, pickle ball, golf, juggling, track and field, KanJam®, SpikeBal $\\textsuperscript { \\small \| \\textregistered }$ , and archery.
