Everglades City School – Chorus 3 (PF)
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
This year-long, formative class, designed for students with previous participation in a school chorus who have basic knowledge of note-reading and vocal technique, concentrates on providing students opportunities to strengthen existing skills in critical listening, vocal techniques, and ensemble performance using high-quality three- and four-part choral literature. Students may be required to attend/ participate in rehearsals and performances outside the school day to support, extend and assess learning in the classroom, which leads to a grade. Rehearsals focus on gaining independence in music literacy and aesthetic engagement through critical listening and thinking skills; and aesthetic musical awareness culminating in periodic public performances which lead to a grade. This course may require students to participate in extra rehearsals and performances beyond the school day, which also lead to a grade. Suggested grading guidelines can be found in the Collier County Public Schools Secondary Grading Manual. This course will meet the graduation requirement for Performing Fine Arts graduation credit.
