Endeavour Elementary School – Criminal Justice 1 - SST505

The course will expose students to many aspects of the criminal justice system including federal, state, and local law enforcement procedures. Specific focuses are integrated into the curriculum to relate to current events and recent developments in the field. Students will be involved in activities intended to promote individual leadership skills as well as collaboration, career exploration, occupational skills awareness, and critical thinking. The Criminal Justice course is enriched with guest speakers from police departments, courts, corrections, and other agencies representing a broad spectrum of subjects and issues.
Prerequisites: An interest in learning about the Criminal Justice system. This Fall semester course focuses on Law Enforcement and major challenges and faced by federal, state and local agencies.
