Eastside High – Broadcast Journalism (H)

Since this is an Honors levels course, students will be expected to have already taken and passed Broadcast Journalism 1 or 2. Students will come into this class already knowing the fundamentals of broadcast journalism and media production. Students will take on a senior role in the school’s broadcast journalism program by completing the following: leading brainstorming and planning meetings for the program, planning all media content and deadlines for all productions in the program, reviewing media package proposals with broadcast journalism 1 and 2 students, critiquing and reviewing final media packages created by broadcast journalism 1 and 2 students, scripting, filming, and producing the school’s weekly announcement show, producing media packages independently, and taking responsibility for all productions created by the school’s broadcast journalism program.
