JOURNALISM This introductory course on the principles and practices of journalism includes fact-gathering, developing interviewing skills and writing news stories in a variety of formats and for a variety of audiences and purposes with correct use of the conventions and mechanics of written English. To produce effective communications, visual and electronic media and other technology along with published work of professional journalists will be used as tools for learning. Students will research self-selected topics and will learn about journalistic traditions and the principles of publishing.
