Eastside Early College High School – Firefighter II

Firefighter II is designed to be the second in a series for students studying firefighter safety and development. Students will understand Texas Commission on Fire Protection rules and regulations, proper incident reporting and records, proper use of personal protective equipment, and the principles of fire safety. Students will learn procedures for use of fire extinguishers, ladder, fire hose, and water supply apparatus. Upon completion of the two-year program, a student may be eligible to receive the TCFP Basic Fire Suppression Certification. PRACTICUM IN LAW, PUBLIC SAFETY, CORRECTIONS, AND SECURITY (1st and 2nd time taken) Practicum in Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security is designed to be a capstone experience for students participating in a coherent sequence of courses in the Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security cluster. The practicum is designed to give students supervised practical application of previously studied knowledge and skills. Practicum experiences can occur in a variety of locations appropriate to the nature and level of experience.
