Early College at Guilford – Honors Accomplished Vocal Music

This course provides students the opportunity to further develop their music reading skills and vocal performance technique. This course continues building on the basic skills that were developed in Intermediate Vocal Music to a higher level of proficiency through individual, small, and large ensemble work. The course emphasizes proper vocal production and choral tone through the study and performance of more advanced literature from a variety of genres and time periods. Students may be expected to attend regional auditions and clinics as a condition for receiving Honors credit. Students may be expected to attend after school rehearsals and performances where participation is a required and graded portion of the course. An audition may be required.
Prerequisites: Intermediate and/or Proficiency Assessment
