Students will continue to develop proficiency in the Japanese language by expanding their skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing while continuing the study of Japanese culture. Approximately 50 kanji are introduced. Students are prepared to have simple daily conversations and to understand and produce short essays and letters.

Prerequisites: Japanese 1 appropriate level of proficiency or completion of level 1 with a C or higher and teacher recommendation
