Eaglecrest High School – Global Studies

Global Studies is a current events driven course. Students will study the world as it exists today, and we will examine events as they unfold around us. In this course, students will act as historians, geographers, economists, political scientists and anthropologists to develop greater understanding and context for these events. Units will be based on compelling themes and questions that will provide students with a useful framework to view and analyze their world. Students will focus on the many challenges that humanity faces today, learn about their origins, and develop (and even implement) solutions. Students will be encouraged to become active, engaged citizens who feel empowered to participate and contribute to their communities; global, national and local.
