Eaglecrest High School – AP Seminar
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
AP Seminar is a college-level, inquiry-based English course for motivated 10th-grade students that fulfills the English 10 credit requirement. The course emphasizes critical thinking, research, academic reading and writing, and formal presentations. Students investigate real-world issues by analyzing diverse sources and learning to ask meaningful questions, evaluate evidence, and synthesize multiple perspectives into clear, evidence-based arguments. Writing and research are central, with students completing two major College Board–assessed projects: a team research presentation and an individual research essay and presentation. Successful completion of the AP Seminar exam may result in college credit, depending on institutional policies.
