The course teaches the development of knowledge and advanced skills in the woodworking and cabinetmaking industry. Emphasis is placed on advanced principles applied to the woodworking and cabinetmaking industry. Topics include advanced levels of the cabinet making industry, health and safety, design and layout, materials, hand tools, power tools, portable and stationary, preparation, construction and assembly, and fi nishing. English language arts and mathematics are reinforced. Due to potentially hazardous processes and equipment a maximum enrollment of 20 is recommended.
Prerequisites: Woodworking I, NC Math II Recommended
Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12
