Students in advanced Latin continue to trace Greco-Roman history, culture, and language and its impact on modern civilizations. Reading comprehension is stressed through the exploration of more advanced texts, especially Catullus, Horace, and Vergil. Emphasis is placed on the reading and scanning of the poetry of these authors. A proficiency exam will be given at the end of the course. Note: Course is offered at Jack Britt, E. E. Smith High School.
