The dynamics of global interactions among nations and regions present issues that affect all humanity. These dynamics include: competing beliefs and goals; methods of engagement, and conflict and cooperation. Contemporary issues have political, economic, social, historic and geographic components. Approaches to addressing global and regional issues reflect historical influences and multiple perspectives. Students will connect understandings of the contemporary and comparative political systems and global issues. Through the lens of a geo-political world, current events, political debate, and how the past impacts present day foreign and domestic policy of nations, regions and international systems and organizations will be analyzed. \*Course also offered virtually through DCS Virtual.
