Welding II Lab provides an introduction to welding technologywith an emphasis on basic welding laboratory principles andoperating procedures. Topics include: industrial safety and healthpractices, hand tool and power machine use, measurement,laboratory operating procedures, welding power sources, weldingcareer potentials, and introduction to welding codes andstandards. This course provides knowledge, skills, andtechnologies required for employment in welding industries.Students will develop knowledge and skills related to this systemand apply them to personal career development. This coursesupports integration of academic and technical knowledge andskills. Students will reinforce, apply, and transfer knowledge andskills to a variety of settings and problems. Knowledge aboutcareer opportunities, requirements, and expectations and thedevelopment of workplace skills prepare students for futuresuccess. (Career Institute South, North)
