SCHEDULE FULL YEAR. This course is an inquiry-based approachto learning about and making art and design. Students areexpected to conduct an in-depth, sustained investigation ofmaterials, processes, and ideas using the principles of design. APArt and Design students develop and apply skills of inquiry andinvestigation, practice, experimentation, revision,communication, and reflection.For this portfolio, students are asked to demonstrate mastery of2D design through any two-dimensional medium or process,including, but not limited to, graphic design, digital imaging,illustration and photography, collage, fabric design, weaving,fashion design, fashion illustration, painting and printmaking. Allenrolled students are expected to develop and submit a portfolioof 15 images demonstrating a sustained investigation at the endof April.
