Prerequisite: Successful completion of a proficient level choral music course and audition        Credit: 1 unit, Weight: +.5 This is an auditioned performing group of advanced soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices. Repertory for performance and study focuses on music of the renaissance, baroque, classical, and romantic periods. Through the analysis and study of history, appropriate musical vocabulary, symbols, and literature (Grades V-VI), this course provides an appreciation and understanding of music in relation to selected styles, periods, composers, and cultures. Students create and maintain portfolios containing a combination of written, audio and visual examples of their work. Performance is an integral part of this course and all rehearsals and performances are required. ART APPRECIATION (Visual Art Specialization- Beginning)
