Students will discover how geological factors such as rocks, soils, and landforms shape plant communities, and how plants, in turn, influence Earth's systems. The curriculum integrates core concepts from both Earth science and biology, covering geology basics like rock and mineral identification, soil science fundamentals, and plant science topics including anatomy, physiology, and adaptations. Through a combination of hands-on lab experiments, map reading exercises, and field-based activities like local field trips and data collection, students will develop practical skills in scientific observation, data interpretation, and plant identification, all while exploring the complex, interconnected nature of our planet's ecosystems.
