Digital Photography I CTE prepares students to use technical expertise, creativity, and composition skills to produce and preserve images that communicate information, convey ideas, moods, and feelings, tell a story, or record an event. Throughout the Digital Photography CTE instructional program, students learn and practice valuable real-world skills using professionalgrade digital cameras and industry standard image editing software to create high-quality media products while beginning a portfolio. Specific units of study included but are not limited to: Introduction to Digital Photography, Genres and History of Photography, Camera Basics, Composition, Basic Exposure, Aperture & Depth of Field, Shutter Speed Controls / Capturing Motion, Light, Digital Image Editing and Copyright Law.
