Students will acquire knowledge and skills in a variety of outdoor education activities that may be used in recreational pursuits. The activities should include, but not limited to camping, canoeing, small craft, hiking, backpacking, orienteering, angling, and cycling. The maintenance and/or improvement of physical fitness through participation in these activities will be emphasized. School Districts must provide basic training in first aid, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), at least once in high school physical education per 1003.453 F.S. This is required for $\\pmb { \ 9 } \\pmb { \\mathrm { h } }$ grade students enrolled in physical education classes.
