Cypress Falls High School – Medical Terminology

This course allows students to develop a working knowledge ofthe language of medicine by introducing them to the structure ofmedical terms, including prefixes, suffixes, word roots, combiningforms, and singular and plural forms, plus medical abbreviationsand acronyms. Comprehending this terminology will not only bebeneficial in understanding other science and health science relatedcourses taken in high school, but will also enhance their ability tosecure employment or pursue further education in this industry.
