Curie Metropolitan High School – Drama II

This acting course builds on Drama I by providing students with opportunities for learning the basic techniques and skills of dramatic and comic performance. Theatre games and exercises, monologues, duet scenes and reader's theatre are taught. Students will be introduced to theatre history from the Ancient Greeks to present. Previously, the class has included partnerships with renowned Chicago companies, such as Court Theatre from Hyde Park and Steppenwolf Theatre from Lincoln Park. Performances for school and community audiences MAY occur during the school year. Elective credit only.
Prerequisites: Drama I or audition
