Curie Metropolitan High School – Advanced Auto Technology II

Advanced Automotive Technology Lab offers students in-depth study of automotive steering, brakes, and engine performance. Among the topics taught are: disc and drum brake diagnosis and repair, hydraulic system diagnosis and repair, anti-lock brake systems, steering system diagnosis and repair, wheel alignment, general engine diagnosis, computerized engine controls, and related engine diagnosing and repair. Extensive lab time is spent on diagnosing and servicing live vehicles. The students have the opportunity of a co-op training experience at a manufacturer's dealership or independent repair facility. This course prepares students to make a successful transition from school to work or continue training in the automotive field.
