Curie Metropolitan High School – Honors Radio Broadcasting
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
Curie Youth Radio starts here. This class is for students who like different kinds of writing and are also interested in sound. In this class, you will learn to use a mini disk recorder and microphone, and you will learn digital audio production on computer. We will work on mixing sound with poetry, personal stories, journalistic pieces, and other genres of your choice. The pieces you create will be broadcast on Chicago radio stations. This year-long elective requires a desire to work hard on your own writing, a willingness to experiment with sound, and a readiness to record outside the classroom.
