Curie Metropolitan High School – Advanced Auto Technology

Advanced Automotive Technology Lab offers students in-depth study of automotive electrical/electronic and suspension systems. Among the topics taught in the course are: general electrical system diagnosis, battery theory and testing, starting system, charging system, lighting system, and accessory system, front and rear suspension system diagnosis service, and repair. Expensive lab time is spent on diagnosing and servicing live vehicles. The students have the opportunity of job shadowing and internships at a manufacturer's dealership or independent repair facility. This course prepares students to make a successful transition from school to work or continued training in the automotive field.
