Crossland Evening/Saturday High – Introduction to Printmaking

In this introductory course, students are taught planographic and intaglio methods. Topics include an introduction to various methods of creating prints; etching and monotype processes; and visual presentations, hands-on demonstrations and field trips. The historical and theoretical aspects of printmaking are emphasized. Students are required to produce a small edition of etchings. Teacher student evaluation of work is an integral part of this course..
Prerequisites: VPA Completion of Level Year 1
