Crofton Meadows Elementary – Elementary Health Education

The curriculum is designed to build health-literate students who can obtain, interpret, and understand basic health information to make healthy lifestyle choices and achieve total wellness. The program focuses on knowledge and health-enhancing skills, including analyzing influences, accessing information, interpersonal communication, decision making, self-management, goal setting, and advocacy. Core concepts include mental and emotional health, substance abuse prevention, family life and human sexuality, safety and violence prevention, healthy eating, and disease prevention and control.
