County Administrative Annex – Accounting I

Accounting is considered the language of the business world. Accounting I offers the student instruction in the system of developing and maintaining accounting records. The course is designed to prepare the college bound students in basic fundamentals, which will be encountered in the initial college course offerings. It also will help the vocational business career student who will be required to possess skills in accounting fundamentals for job placement. Members of the class become involved in the principles and methods of recording business transactions, the preparation and interpretation of financial statements, and the interpretation of fiscal reports. During the second semester, students will be introduced to electronic software used to complete their various assignments.
