Accounting III is a course designed to serve the needs of the student who requires a well-rounded accounting program, whether the student is preparing for a career in accounting or other types of management careers, both in and out of the business world. The course is carefully planned to help the student master accounting in a logical and efficient manner. The concepts advance steadily from the simple to the complex, from the familiar to the new. Accounting III will help the student build a broad understanding of the business world by showing how accounting systems operate through the use of simulations, industry-used computer software and assignments designed to provide the students with real-life scenarios. Students will address topics relevant in the business world today, including but not limited to financial statement analysis, corporate fraud, and various managerial accounting topics. \*Students who earn a B or better in this course may be eligible for college credit from Berkshire Community College.
