Coronado High School – Chamber Orchestra 1, 2

Chamber Orchestra is the advanced level orchestra at Coronado High School and is available, by audition only, to students in grades 9-12. The Chamber Orchestra performs challenging, upper-level music and students are expected to practice at home daily and are strongly recommended to take private lessons. The Chamber Orchestra gives at least four public performances throughout the school year including a Fall Concert, a Holiday Concert, a Winter Concert, and a Spring Pops Concert. The Chamber Orchestra also performs at the World Arena for graduation. Attendance at scheduled performances is required and is part of the student's grade. Occasionally students will be required to attend extra rehearsals outside of the normal school day, either before or after school. Each year, the Chamber Orchestra travels to compete at a national music festival which is usually out of state. Auditions for Chamber Orchestra need to be completed by the first week in March, please contact Ms. West (jennifer.west@d11.org) for audition information.
