Coronado High School – Wind Ensemble 1,2

This is an advanced high school instrumental music class. Students must audition to be enrolled in this class. Wind Ensemble provides the opportunity to develop an understanding and appreciation of music through performance. This band performs for school and community events throughout the year. They also participate at local, regional, and state music contests. Students selected for Wind Ensemble show an above-average understanding of their instrument and display a high level of musical sophistication as demonstrated through their performance. Attendance at scheduled performances is required and is considered part of the student's grade. This band participates at local and regional band contests and festivals and is also part of the Pep Band which performs at home football games and some basketball games. *Students may receive honors credit for this class upon completion of certain requirements.
